Welcome to the
Vanderbilt Implementation Research Lab!

Our lab studies the development, use, implementation, adaptation, and sustainability of educational and social programs, practices, and policies.  Broadly, we focus on topics at the intersection of learning sciences, developmental and educational psychology, implementation science, and education systems and policy related to language development and educational and social wellbeing. To achieve these goals, we prioritize identifying and implementing supports for children and their educators, families, and communities in diverse, dynamic school and community contexts.

We engage in partnerships with educators and interest-holders in meaningful interprofessional research and practice to collectively identify solutions to meaningful challenges for schools and systems, including those that serve children and youth with disabilities. We use a variety of research methods, theories, and frameworks to support the uptake, implementation, and sustainability of adoptable and effective practices and programs in community settings.
